In cooperation with The Heritage Conservancy and a grant from Foundations Community Partnerships, BC Cares completed the installation of an outdoor classroom space at Brookwood Elementary. This space is set to provide STEAM curriculum enhancement, along with ongoing extracurricular opportunities for school staff and families. The garden is being cared for through the summer by new volunteer families each week! This Fall, when students return, the garden will be filled with many native pollinators as well as pumpkins and sunflowers planted by the students this past May as part of a ribbon cutting ceremony. Enjoy the progress pictures below!
