BC Cares is excited to continue its long tradition of recognizing students in our community with the Boomerang Award. This award is given, each month, to youth who exemplify the developmental assets proven to be instrumental in promoting positive adolescent behavior and positive reinforcement for our children. Each year, nearly a thousand students are nominated for possessing one or more of these attributes. We are seeking nominations of students in any grade (K-12) who consistently demonstrate the asset of the month. Nominations can be submitted by students, parents, school staff, community members, friends and neighbors.

For many years, CB Cares hosted an MLK Day of Service that provided great opportunities for service projects in Central Bucks County. As we are an organization that is not led by a person of color, our forward action for MLK Day will be to directly support and uplift organizations that are. We will stay invested in Service Projects, but will be directly supporting organizations like www.thepeacecenter.org , The Bucks County Anti-Racism Coalition (https://www.facebook.com/groups/buxcoarc) . Join us for January events in 2024!
The BC Cares Parent Positive Speaker Series will be returning for the 2023-24 school year. In parallel to our expansion of other initiatives, we will be providing engagements throughout the entire county, at various community locations. We look forward to seeing you there!
